Marisa and Team Collaborators Awarded $410K by NSF
July 2014: Marisa and a team of collaborators (Dr. Nadine Kabengi, Georgia State University; Jim Kubicki, Penn State University; Mike Machesky, Illinois State Water Survey) were awarded a $410K award by the Environmental Chemical Sciences program at NSF to investigate the surface structure of ferrihydrite.

Marisa Promoted to Tenure
August 2013: Marisa has been promoted to Associate Professor with tenure.
Marisa Going to Greece as Marie Curie Fellow
Marisa is going to Greece as Marie Curie fellow to spend two years at the National Technical University of Athens. She will be working with a team on researchers on the fate and transport of naturally occurring chromium, as well as anthropogenic pollution in the Asopos river basin.
