October 27th, 2011: Chad Johnston won two fellowships to support his Ph.D. studies, one by the Environmental Professionals Organization of Connecticut and one by the School of Engineering.

Marisa and EWB Win EPA P3 Award

Marisa and the Engineers Without Borders at UConn won the EPA P3 award (People, Prosperity and the Planet) to conduct research on sustainable erosion control in La Prusia, Nicaragua.

Marisa Invited to Talk at Company Workshop

Marisa was invited to talk to Schnabel Engineering company workshop in Gaithersburg, VA. “Geochemistry: a science for dusty classrooms or a living, breathing beast in geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering?”. People seemed to see the beast!
